Individually or together - How Part 1 and 2 can help your training
The set of traditional Reformer exercises by Joseph Pilates was extremely well thought out and is suitable for many levels of experience. You will find those exercises in Reformer Part 1 for the levels Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Super-Advanced. But for some people the traditional exercises and especially the transition between levels can be quite challenging. Which is why 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation teachers have developed many exercises that can be used both as stand-alone practices as well as in preparation for more challenging traditional exercises. Reformer Part 2 is a compact collection of these extremely useful modern exercises.
What’s inside?
Large format color pictures are used to illustrate each of the exercises. The exact setup of each exercise, the goals associated with the exercise, and a step-by-step description of how to perform it are outlined. Common mistakes, possible modifications or variations, and contraindications and dangers are also enumerated.

Here is what you will find in Part 1 in more detail: Following an introduction to the history of the Reformer, the various components of the Reformer are described, alongside a number of important issues to keep in mind when using a Reformer. Furthermore, the manual provides a recommended exercise sequence for each of the four different levels: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Super Advanced.
